How to find Tokyo Tower
In the first few minutes after leaving Tokyo Station for Shinagawa, Tokyo Tower slips between the buildings on the Seat E side. It is a quick urban opening shot: the red tower appears, and the Tokaido Shinkansen window story begins.
If you are traveling from Tokyo toward Shin-Osaka, start watching the Seat E · mountain side window as you approach Tokyo → Shinagawa. If you are traveling toward Tokyo, the order is reversed.
Why this view matters
Tokyo Tower is one of the window views that make the Tokaido Shinkansen more than a transfer. The train moves fast, so visibility depends on weather, seat position, and timing.
