How to find Nangu Taisha Shrine
From Tokyo toward Shin-Osaka, look from Seat A after Gifu-Hashima as the train heads toward Sekigahara. From Shin-Osaka toward Tokyo, look from Seat A after Maibara and Sekigahara, before Gifu-Hashima. The large torii gate of Nangu Taisha Shrine stands beyond the fields: less about seeing the whole shrine than catching a flash of red in the landscape.

Why this view matters
Nangu Taisha Shrine is one of the window views that make the Tokaido Shinkansen more than a transfer. The train moves fast, so visibility depends on weather, seat position, and timing.
