How to find Omi Fuji
After Maibara, look from Seat A for Mt. Mikami, nicknamed Omi Fuji for its clean triangular shape. When the fields are wet, it becomes a window-seat reflection: a tiny upside-down Fuji. Start looking a little early.
If you are traveling from Tokyo toward Shin-Osaka, start watching the Seat A side window as you approach Maibara → Kyoto. If you are traveling toward Tokyo, the order is reversed.
Why this view matters
Omi Fuji is one of the window views that make the Tokaido Shinkansen more than a transfer. The train moves fast, so visibility depends on weather, seat position, and timing.
